The RCAM project will have been a success if we:
- Enable a better understanding of what central support functions are
- Identify stable processes and adequate funding to support those functions
- Create a direct, understandable link between central service usage and cost
- Achieve more equitable allocations among the schools in funding central services
- Define a common, basic market basket of shared services
- Expand incentives beyond enrollment to enable schools to meet their academic and research missions
- Redesign the budget model with planning parameters that supports both school- based priorities and university strategic initiatives
- Design a process that matches revenue to expense, and expenses to budget authorization
